Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
14th December 2022
This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.
Yokohama City focuses mainly on individual vaccinations at medical institutions, but vaccinations are also conducted at group vaccination venues.
In December, vaccinations are being held four days a week at 10 venues in the city, and at the Yokohama Station West Exit venue, they are available on Thursday and Friday nights and early Saturday mornings.
Vaccinations will not be provided during the year-end and New Year holidays, from Thursday 29th December to Wednesday 4th January.
It is expected that from January onwards, there will be a drop in the number of people who wish to be vaccinated, so the city will review the venues, vaccination dates, and reception times.
From January 16th, vaccination days will decrease from the current 4 days a week to 2 or 3 days a week, and the reception hours will also change at some venues.
In addition, the following three venues will be closed sequentially. Minato Mirai’s Yokohama Hammerhead venue, where the last vaccinations will take place on Wednesday 28th December, the Rose Hall Yokohama Station venue, where final vaccinations will be on Friday 13th January, and at the Sakuragicho/Bashamichi Yokohama World Porters venue, where Sunday 22nd January will be the last day of vaccinations.
If you would like to be vaccinated at a group vaccination venue, please consider getting vaccinated early.
For general enquiries about vaccination, please call the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center’. Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The telephone number is 0120-045-070. Calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm every day.
