Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
30th Nobember 2022
This week’s edition is on an illumination event.
The city and lights art illumination ‘Yorunoyo’, is being held in the waterfront area of the city centre this year too.
The main attraction of Yorunoyo is “NIGHT VIEWING”, a city-wide production of lights and music.
34 facilities, such as the waterfront line, historical buildings and clusters of high-rise buildings will link up to come alive with lights and music.
The recommended viewing spot is Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a panoramic view that is only possible in Yokohama.
"NIGHT WALKING", a light production that can be enjoyed while walking around the city, is for the first time being held at the Osanbashi Futo Building and Yamashita Park, in addition to Shinko Central Plaza.
As well as the dome of light being set up in Shinko Central Plaza, there will be projections taking place at the Osanbashi Futo Building and Yamashita Park.
The Yamashita Park projections will start on December 1st.
Around this time of year, many locally organized illuminations are being held in the waterfront area of the city centre.
If you collect stamps around these illumination and Yorunoyo venues, you can participate in a digital stamp rally where you can win wonderful prizes, and be issued with digital coupons that allow you to receive special benefits such as discounts at affiliated stores.
"Yorunoyo” is being held between 5pm and 9:05pm until 3rd January next year.
“NIGHT VIEWING”, the city-wide production of lights and music, will be held for 5 minutes every half hour from 5:30pm to 9pm.
