Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

This week’s edition is on the Supplemental Fixed-rate Tax Cut Payment.

Yokohama City will provide the Supplemental Fixed-rate Tax Cut Payment (Shortfall Payment) for fiscal 2024 to people who have a shortfall in  the  Adjustment Benefit.

Yokohama City is sending envelopes and postcards to those who are eligible.

Recipients of the envelopes do not need to apply, but those who receive the postcard must apply.

Applications are generally submitted online, but those who have difficulty applying online can apply by post.

If you wish to apply by post, please contact the Shortfall Payment Call Center.

Even if you have not received a notification, you may still be eligible.  

A flowchart has been prepared to help you determine your eligibility. Please check the Yokohama City website or the flyers distributed at ward offices, etc.

The application form can be downloaded from the Yokohama City website.

If you have difficulty downloading it, you can phone the Shortfall Payment Call Center to have it sent to you.

 The Call Center also provides support in English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, Portuguese, and Tagalog.

Calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm.

Please note that the Call Center is closed on weekends and national holidays.

The application deadline is Friday 31st October.
