This week’s edition is on “Yokohama Night Flowers”.

“Yokohama Night Flowers”, a five-minute fireworks display, colorfully lights up the night sky over the Port of Yokohama every month!

Previously called “Yokohama Sparkling Twilight”, the event was renamed “Yokohama Night Flowers” and will run until March next year.

The fireworks are due be launched around 27 days a year, the most in the Greater Tokyo area.

In May, they will be launched from Osanbashi Bridge on Saturday 17th and from Shinko Pier on Saturday 24th. Each display will start at 7pm and last for five minutes.

The distinctive feature of “Yokohama Night Flowers” is that the fireworks are launched throughout the year in the waterfront area of Yokohama Port and in conjunction with various events held in the surrounding area.

On 17th May, the ‘2025 World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama’ and ‘2025 World Triathlon Para Series Yokohama’ will take place, and on 24th May ‘Hama Fes Y166’ will be held.

That means you can enjoy Yokohama's events and sightseeing during the day, and in the evening, while having dinner or on a sightseeing cruise, you can enjoy the fireworks along with the beautiful night view. The city has been certified as one of "The New Three Japanese Cities with the Most Spectacular Night Views”.

"Yokohama Night Flowers" is scheduled to be held every month from June onwards too.

The aim is to brighten up Yokohama at night throughout the year, so that more people can enjoy the lively city of Yokohama.
