Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City

This week’s edition is a call for runners in the Yokohama Marathon 2025.

How would you like to race through an attractive course unique to Yokohama, that starts at the Yokohama Landmark Tower, and runs past the Red Brick Warehouse and the Marine Tower, as well as along the Bayshore Route of the Metropolitan Expressway? Organizers are currently seeking runners.

In addition to the full marathon and pair relay, a new event equivalent to a half marathon, the Bayshore Highway Run, has been added this year. As well as this, the number of applicants sought for the Fun Run (Family) event, which allows parents and children to participate together, has been expanded due to popular demand, so more people can now enjoy the event.

Runners will be supported by over 6,000 volunteers, and performances to cheer them on at water stations, as well as by the "Lucky Snack Service".

The “Lucky Snack Service” offers a limited number of snacks, mainly local specialties and sweets from Yokohama and Kanagawa. It's exciting to wonder what you'll get to eat.

On the day of the race, the Yokohama Marathon Festa will be held in Rinko Park, where the finish line is located, and those who come to cheer on the runners will be able to enjoy food and drink stalls, stage events, and more.
