Public Service Announcement for Yokohama City
11th January 2023
This week’s edition is on COVID-19 vaccinations.
Yokohama City focuses mainly on individual vaccinations at medical institutions, but vaccinations have also been promoted at group vaccination venues.
As of January, group vaccinations are being held at nine venues in the city, but as the period when concentrated numbers of people want to be vaccinated passes, the city will review the scale in stages and close group vaccination venues in February.
The following six venues will close in January: the Rose Hall Yokohama Station venue, where final vaccinations will be on Friday 13th January, the Sakuragicho/Bashamichi venue, where Sunday 22nd January will be the last day of vaccinations, and the Namiki Central venue, the Tsurumi venue, the Kibogaoka venue and the TKP Minato Mirai Ekimae venue, where Saturday 28th January will be the final day of vaccinations.
The last day for the remaining three venues - the Center Minami venue, the Totsuka venue and the Yokohama Station West Exit venue - will be Saturday 25th February.
The vaccine used at the Rose Hall Yokohama Station venue is Pfizer’s Vaccine targeting Omicron (BA.4-5), while Pfizer’s vaccine targeting Omicron (BA.1) vaccine is used at all other venues.
If you would like to be vaccinated at a group vaccination venue, please consider getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
For general enquiries about vaccination, please call the ‘Yokohama COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center’. Calls will be handled in eight languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The telephone number is 0120-045-070. Calls will be answered between 9am and 7pm every day.
