The population census is a national survey conducted once every five years, with October 1st as the base date.

It covers all people and households living in Japan, including foreign residents.

Census takers will visit each household from late September to distribute questionnaires. The deadline for responses is early October.

The results of the survey will be used in a variety of fields as the basis for various policies in national and local government.

The City appreciates your understanding and cooperation.

国勢調査は、5年に一度行われる国の調査で、10月1日を基準日として実施します。

日本に住む全ての人と世帯が対象で、外国人の方も含みます。

9月下旬から国勢調査員が各世帯を訪問し、調査票を配布します。

回答期限は、10月上旬です。

調査結果は、国や地方自治体における各種施策の基礎資料として、各分野で活用されます。
