The "Shinagawa City Ordinance for the Realization of a Society that Respects Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity", which came into effect in April 2024, established the basic principles for promoting policies based on the perspective of gender equality and respect for sexual diversity.

The city aims to realize a society in which everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or gender identity, can live true to themselves, respecting each other while expressing their individuality.

In order to resolve the difficulties that sexual minority individuals face in their daily lives due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, it is important for the city as a whole to deepen understanding of sexual diversity and respect each person’s individual sexuality.

品川区からのお知らせです。

令和6年4月施行の「品川区ジェンダー平等と性の多様性を尊重し合う社会を実現するための条例」では、ジェンダー平等と性の多様性の尊重という視点に基づいた施策を推進するための基本理念を定めました。

性別や性的指向、ジェンダーアイデンティティにかかわらず、一人ひとりがその人らしさを発揮しながら、互いに尊重し合い、誰もが自分らしく生きられる社会の実現をめざしています。

性的マイノリティ当事者の方々が、日常で直面している性的指向やジェンダーアイデンティティに起因する日常生活上の困難を解消するために、区全体で、性の多様性に対する理解を深め、人それぞれの性のあり方を尊重することが大切です。
